SI Dave is right. If any of us want a start a thread and ban those we disagree with we are free to do so. Only it's a poorer and less honest thread as a result. So don't expect it to thrive. However -- There are legit reasons for censorship. Like Cyberken's abuses and bad language for instance. Or Ground Zero's personal attacks. If I had a thread I'd ban them not because I want views censored, just because it's human pollution and a refusal to debate rationally. Which means a waste of everyone's time. Lesson being, don't worry about censored threads. Leave the bozos to themselves. They'll learn someday - maybe. I have no problem with honest conservatives honestly debating. That's fun. But trading garbage a la smearvets and Karl Rove is just more garbage. It drags us all down into the mud. Who started it all? Drudge? Monica Lewinsky scandal? I think that was the beginning. It really turned the rightwing on. So they have continued and now get tastes of their own medicine. Oh for the return to rational civilized debate. But that wont happen until the entire Drudge-Rove mentality is defeated as a political tool. The smearvet lies beating Kerry was very-very bad for America and democracy as a whole.

Yes thanks for insulting me and making it clear that SI believes in political censorship. I'll bookmark your post and remind people where you stand when the subject comes up again. I think that the proper thing is to not allow moderated threads in the Politics boards.
