I'm pretty happy with the current status quo on genetic engineering. The Euros have a bunch of bans on GM food, etc., so that helps keep them out of the market.

US firms are racking up lots of patents and profits.

Brazil will make lots of money selling agricultural products to China.

China gets a better diet, so their kids can grow to their natural height, like Yao Ming.

Then the kids will buy lots of US/ China joint venture SUVs, because they are the only cars that fit - thus solving the US trade defict.

What's the problem ? Looks like a level playing field to me.

As long as we don't giant walking carrots which are attacking power lines on the way to Tokoyo, whose afraid of GM foods ?
