Yes, meanwhile tejek, Alighieri, and others on this thread are still claiming that Iraq was not a supporter of terrorism. Naive.

Do something! The GOP is crumbling right before our very eyes. There are elected GOPers falling left and right in every corner of this great land........guilty of crime upon crime: sex on the internet, investing state funds in coin collections, in bed with defense contractors, stealing city funds, getting house additions for free........the list goes on and on. And now Arnold........maintaining two full time jobs.......because he's a genius??? Nope, because he thought he could get away with it.

But don't turn to Mr. Rove for help..........he's been gossiping badly on gov't time and now is under serious suspicion. Yup........he may be becoming a liability. Mr. bike riding, frisbee playing, skegway hopping Bush may have to fire the guy's sorry ass!

And then there is the mess in Iraq.......ohhhh veyyyyyyy!

The GOP needs you to turn their fortunes around.....tell them how "masterful" and "brilliant" they are........how they are supremely honest and the Dems are going down. You can do it.......rally the troops......avert disaster.

Well maybe you can. They can only hope!

Hitchens has an excellent understanding of the situation and could trounce just about anyone on the subject. I thought this was great:

CH: Excuse me. When I went to interview Abu Nidal, then the most wanted terrorist in the world, in Baghdad, he was operating out of an Iraqi government office. He was an arm of the Iraqi State, while being the most wanted man in the world. The same is true of the shelter and safe house offered by the Iraqi government, to the murderers of Leon Klinghoffer, and to Mr. Yassin, who mixed the chemicals for the World Trade Center bombing in 1993. How can you know so little about this, and be occupying a chair at the time that you do?

Yes, he can trounce idiots like you, but anyone who knows about the subject just laughs at him (and you).

Yassin was put in jail by Saddam. In contrast, the U.S. released him after questioning. Saddam also offered to extradite Yassin, but both Clinton and Bush declined.
