"what I do see is

1. Lebanon is free of Syrian soldiers,

2. Hezbollah will be forced to disarm,

3. Iran is in the in deck circle."

That is great for Israel but not so great for 1700 dead American (non-Israeli) soldiers. Why should they die to protect Israel?

If anyone should die to protect Israel it should be Israelis or Americans with a commitment to Israel.

You're giving the Middle East the Bushie spin. You forgot to claim that Bush disarmed Libya, which actually hadn't been any threat to us for over a decade. One oil deal was all it took for Gaddafi to hand over whatever useless weapons he had lying around which he wasn't going to use anyway.

You give Bush credit for the Lebanon situation? Why? What did he do there? And Syria and Iran are more dangerous than ever. Iran just got a US-hating president. Due in large part to Bush. Egypt is also de-stabilizing. Afgthanistan is once again in danger. Osama and his top people walk free.

The only good news is that once Bush is gone a new president will be such a relief to everyone that peace in the ME is more likely. But we still need to get the hell off Arab oil forever.

You are much wiser to spend your $600 a year on a hybrid car or any system by which to burn less Arab oil. Arb oil these days = US blood. Think of the real cost we're paying for every gallon when youn add in all the war and terrorism costs.

Kerry would have gotten us on the right track. With Bush more of the same and it's not working at all.
