"Which means China still has time to fix this on its own by implementing more girl-friendly policies, especially since men tend to marry younger women."

Good point. China could do many things, like sexist policies for men to establish their careers before getting married or something. Lots of things could happen.

I think it will be hard or impossible to pigeon hole these men into lives the way we have done historically. The world is smaller and people can pretty much go and do what they want.

India is having a problem with female foeticide.

The network can also be activated at primary health centres and at the health worker level to keep tabs on those indulging in sex-determination of the female foetus and female foeticide.”

Historically infanticide has targeted females and now we are seeing this trend related to efforts to control the population.

Sex Ratio shifts in some Indian States due to technology
and availability of gender selection
censusindia.net

It is < 800 females /1000 males in Punjab a 'rich' state.
Some of the richer North Indian states have it the worst.
Nature takes its course in the states that are too poor to afford gender selection.
But even in a poor state, the richer/ more urban areas suffer from this problem.
