In Israel you can be jailed for preaching the Gospel or wearing a cross. Israeli laws forbid using the plus sign in public schools because it looks like a Christian cross. Fanatic Orthodox rabbis control Israel.

America has some inherent xenophobia, it is true, but America is far more accepting than any other country on the planet. It's not coincidence that they call our country the melting pot.

There is considerable pressure to conform to what is considered the American standard. I am not saying its wrong but if there was any melting, it was due to that pressure. And often that standard was hard to meet. Up until the 1960s, you weren't able to get commercial work on tv if you didn't have at least blue eyes and preferably blond hair. It was not acceptable to be very different........which is an example of xenophobia.

But let's make a comparison. Who is more xenophobic, Muslims in the Middle East or Americans in America? In America, we have a culture of live and let live. In the Middle East, like in Saudi Arabia, you can be beaten up, put in jail, or worse for doing nothing more than going to church. Talk about xenophobia.

Yes. The interesting thing is how upset you are. That's the result of two Muslim incursions on American soil. How many times have Americans landed on their soil in violence? How many air bases do Muslims have in this country? How many American companies are controlled by Muslims?

I am not suggesting that Americans take whatever the Muslims dish out. However, I am suggesting that Americans develop some empathy and stop looking at the world from an Americentric point of view.
