Most of those meth addicts would clean up pretty well with enough sleep, a balanced diet, and better haircuts

lol!

well i think *that* is the point...

most of the addicts could care less about sleep and a balanced diet, oh and 'hair'

hence, the obvious deterioration...

it takes energy and motivation to maintain a healthy body...

let alone stressing it out additionally with chemical imbalances

you didn't know that?

trust me...

no make up would change that woman's eyes....or skin tone

she is a walking zombie

(oh and what's with the missing teeth at a relatively young age...poor oral hygiene??? lol!)

I take it you haven't heard of "meth mouth."

Don't confuse Fairfax County and your experience there with what is taking place in rural America. Rappahannok County, for example.

Methamphetamine: Although still minimal, localized clandestine manufacture of methamphetamine has increased in Virginia every year for the past several years, with most of the activity centered on the far southwestern corner of the state bordering West Virginia, North Carolina and Kentucky. The Shenandoah Valley region contains the highest percentage of methamphetamine abusers in the state, and was the first area of the state to receive a huge influx of Mexican immigrants, whose presence encouraged an expansion of existing Mexican drug-trafficking networks. In rave and nightclub venues, both "ice" and methamphetamine have become drugs of choice.

Sorry, but I think you are dead wrong to trivialize methamphetamine abusers. They would "clean up pretty well" if they hadn't gotten into meth, because redemption is always available for those who want it. Their underlying character and upbringing flaws would respond to the right input, but Meth abuse destroys that potential. It's like trying to resurrect a house with a rotten foundation.

Meth abusers aren't having the mother of all bad days, they are having the mother of all decay.
