Goldie... politically you might be correct.

(Possibly they are just waiting to see how the investigation shakes out... no charges have been filed yet against anyone but the reporters. Bush is reputedly VERY LOYAL to his longterm friends, so maybe the logical thing would be to wait for charges to be filed first. If no charges are brought he can easily dismiss the brouhaha as mere 'inside the beltway' political posturing and 'stand by his man'. If charges *are* filed against Rove or someone else in the admin... he could put him on paid-leave until the Courts decide. Bush will be probably out of office before the matter is ultimately settled.)

Perhaps we should wait til it is determined that a law was broken before we start fingering people for resignation.
