Interesting 72 hours, indeed.

I've been long AAPL since Jobs return, and I must note for the record I haven't seen so many 'last minute upgrades' by analysts in the past years/Qs. I don't know what to make of it other than they want to appear 'be-in-the-know' (I knew it all along crowd) and not appear to be caught off-guard by the upside as in the past.

The street didn't like the .28 forecast AAPL gave last Q, but they surely didn't know AAPL was planning to make the MacTel announcement. IMO, AAPL lowered their expectation last Q pricing in the MacTel announcement catching the street off-guard, thus this Qs trading range. The analysts finally got it, late.

It is what it is, and IMhO APPL will surprise to the upside with improved Mac, iPod and software sales (Tiger), with Q4 forecast to the upside.
