Expectations from where, from who? From where are these mysterious thought processes coming from? You don't know anything but yet you won't go out and become better informed.

We, the UNITED STATE OF AMERICA the world's lone remaining superpower, the largest military the world has ever known is

UNABLE TO PROVIDE SECURITY FOR IRAQ.

Do you not see this? It's plain, it's clear, it's right before your very eyes if you would just open them.

No one is saying there will not be blood shed in Iraq's future. Blood was shed in Iraq's past and a ton of it is flowing in the present.

Iraq is, according to Bush, a sovereign nation. They've had what passes for an election. Aside from securing the oil, which we're not doing either, what are we there to do? If the presence of our military in the ME is exacerbating the violence, how logical is it to stay until the violence is over?

This would be a different situation if we went in (however illegally and corruptly and stupidily) with 500,000 troops to keep the peace in 2003. We didn't. Chaos resulted. We need to make the best of a very ugly situation.

BTW, we're also running huge deficits because of this war and Bush's tax cuts for himself, his family and his friends. We aren't a bottomless pit of soldiers to die and money to lose.

--- BTW the story goes that Bush had to have someone explain the ethnic divisions in Iraq before we went to war. He didn't know but he was going to war anyway.

Do you think the Jewish Neocons thought an Iraqi government would create strong ties to the Iranian government and both of them would say, down with Israel? Do you?

These are people who supposedly do this for a living and on our dime even. They either didn't know, didn't care or didn't even bother to consider the situation. Remember, these idiots thought that Iraq would be so EASY that we could DO Iraq before we DID Afghanistan after 911.

Are these the same idiots who are saying that we can't leave because we don't want the Communists, er jihadists, to take over Vietnam, er Iraq?

I'm saying that I don't know what the future holds but it certainly merits the discussion of very different alternatives AND at any rate our checkbook may force our hand anyway.
