You know, that is very true. American Muslims seem to be the type of Muslims we'd like for the rest of the world's Muslims to be. Brings me back to an article I read a few weeks ago that talked about Europe's inability to integrate its Muslim populations. It talked about American success at integrating foreigners and pointed to the U.S. as a model for Europeans to follow in integrating their own foreigners. It's no accident that the terrorist attacks in America were Saudis who were not residents of the U.S. Whereas, the Madrid and London bombers were residents and in some cases citizens of those respective countries. Maybe instead of telling Americans that our culture and policies are flawed, Europeans should look inward and see what is wrong with their own approach.
