interesting phenomena...

i had the reverse effect when prescribed an anti-depressant

i was taking care of my mother who was extremely ill and in a nursing home....i had the symptoms of 'clinical depression' and was prescribed a relatively low dose anti-depressant...

for me, the side effects were worse than the 'cure'...and frankly i saw no marked improvement in my mood..(and of course googling the known side effects and case studies didn't help<g>)

i went off of it in 3 months, upped my exercise and started taking better care of myself in general

what i learned about my body is that i tend to produce a fair amount of adrenalin when under stress, and exercising rigorously helped to deplete my body of the excess, which seemed to alleviate my stress symptoms entirely
