Israel is requesting $2 billion from the US to relocate 9,000 Israelis who are currently living in land (the Gaza Strip) that the US and the UN have been saying for decades do not belong to Israel. That's a fact. Who knows what the $ actually gets spent on, but at the end of the day why should the US reward these people that have been living illegally in occupied land with probably brand new, spacious, comfortable homes inside of some area that is agreed to be part of Israel? Shouldn't that money be used to house San Francisco homeless instead? Why is housing illegal Israeli settlers in Israel a priority over housing even illegal aliens living in San Diego, much less homeless US citizens in Louisiana? If the Israelis want money to move their citizens out of Gaza, let them raise it from charity or extort it out of the Saudis. That would be ideal - if the Israelis said they were ready to leave Gaza as soon as the Saudis foot the bill. Then we would see how much the Saudis really care about their "Palestinian brothers"....not a hoot.
