Oh I worked hard - tell it to the stone wall - I don't want to hear it. Just because that worked for you does not mean it will work for everyone. What if you had gotten sick early on? What if your wife had MS, you brain cancer? Think that doesn't happen? It happens every day. I know people in those situations. So, you get brain cancer, your wife MS, neither can work - no medical insurance. What should we do with you both - well no health care since you're not 65 - and no home since you can't pay, so we'll put you in the street. That's fair under your system right? You are a barbarian. You sicken me. I can't stomach you here anymore sorry. >> Since my family and I are from humble backgrounds and no one I'm related to ever received any assistance from any government yet have managed to take care of ourselves, even manage some upward economic movement, by working and saving, I conclude that it is possible to do so. I don't think ordinary people are helpless.

You have received govt. assistance, as have your entire family - from the time you were born, in hospitals paid in part with govt. money, to the schools you learned in, to the libraries you used, to the roads you drive on - to this Internet - all paid for by others (the government) for YOUR USE.
