My dad was chief instructor of cockpit electronics for the F4H Phantom while stationed at Miramar Naval Air Station and I happen to have a copy of the 1961 McDonnel Aircraft F4H Plane Captains Handbook here and on page 53 it says that when starting or stopping the pod engine the refrigeration should be turned off. Why would they have refrigeration if they don't have AC? Yep, guerillas who disappear into the civilian population. Same old same old. A guerilla war that cannot be won by invaders. Are you saying we intend to make Iraq the 51st state of the union? It would have been better to have made Japan the 51st, Germany the 52nd and Italy the 53rd.
