All four bombers were killed in London attacks

The bomber responsible for the explosion on a London bus led police to the Burley district in Leeds, where a series of morning raids were carried out.
Anti-terrorism teams made their first breakthrough in the investigation into the London bombings on Tuesday, reportedly making the first arrests in the case and tracing one of the bombers to a close-knit Pakistani neighbourhood in northern England.

The bomber responsible for last week's explosion on a London bus was believed to be among the 13 people killed on board, the British Broadcasting Corp. and Sky News reported, citing unnamed police officials.

The man reportedly led police to the Burley district in Leeds, a city about a 185 miles (297 kilometres) north of London, where a series of morning raids were carried out.

Sky News, citing unnamed officials, said four bombers were behind the attacks and that all died in the act. Police refused to confirm the reports.

Earlier in the day, officers blasted their way into a home near Leeds in search of explosives. Police also searched five residences elsewhere in Leeds.

The raids were the first reported in the investigation of the attacks that killed at least 52 people aboard three London Underground trains and a bus. It was unclear how many arrests there had been or the nationalities of those reportedly arrested.
