egregiously rude and misleading.

these guys are not dumb. it was for the cameras in the room, night tv coverage and their ambition to try to one up the others.

ps david had twins last Wednesday. boy and girl. maybe he was still celebrating.

The problem for Scott McClellan is that at some point he said that Rove had given him his personal assurance that he wasn't involved in the Plame kerfluffle.

October 10, 2003. White House press secretary Scott McClellan was asked directly if Rove and two other White House aides had ever discussed Valerie Plame with any reporters. McClellan said he had spoken with all three, and "those individuals assured me they were not involved in this."

That's unequivocal. So either McClellan misunderstood Rove, or misrepresented what Rove told him, or Rove misunderstood what McClellan asked him, or misrepresented his role in the events.

Liberal media bias or not, Rove is toast. This isn't the first time. He was fired in 1992 by Bush pere for badmouthing someone and getting caught. This wasn't even badmouthing, but I still think he's toast.

He's going to have to fall on his sword, but the time isn't right yet, the media is out for blood and need to savage him for a while before he gives in.
