Yeah and Greenspan is the ring leader. Does he really think he can avoid something worse than the S&L crisis that was also under his watch by encouraging this to continue. He surely knows the longer this goes on the worse it will be on the other side. The low long term rates freak him out as it is a no win for his banker friends. Inverted yield curve and another up wave in the coastal housing boom would eventually wipe em all out. The stock market knows this and is discounting an end to fed tightening soon.
