Oh, no, not that. Nothing illegal or immoral cuz I'm bound to save ALL lives; but I can be within the bounds of caring medicine and still have fun, while looking out for the patient's best interest.
Which, of course, includes financial interests. I'd recommend withholding all pain meds, sedatives, paralytics to help Karl stay within his budget, and to avoid the risk of addiction. Now, that's not a bad thing. I've been trying to get a doc to let me do a spinal tap on somebody for years, in case peak oil makes things fall apart and I may have to do it in emergent field situations. Now is my time. Carpe diem, baby. I can even find phrases in my place's Mission Statement to support my care.
