What will you read to your new little grandson?

How about the collected SI posts of Maurice Winn? The 16,852 (and counting!) rants should both educate Hayes and last him until he is well into his teens <g>.

Melissa [on day 1] was singing to him, "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy, when skies are grey, you'll never know dear, how much I love you, please don't take my sunshine away" in her melodic voice. He seemed to like that and would settle very quickly.

Getting children to eat things is easy. They get really hungry after a while. Of course they will die before they eat actual toxins, such as certain vegetables and other foul concoctions.

When they are really hungry, it goes straight in their mouths. When they aren't it goes on the floor and then it is taken away from them.

Children don't die of starvation in the presence of food. Feeding them is easy!

I wonder if I could sue the teachers who used to terrorize and threaten to beat me if I didn't learn certain poetry and ridiculous historical information. Bastards.
