You have to really respect Paul O'Neal's honesty and integrity.

He's not the sort of conformist who would get his good Nazi medal at the end of the month for maintaining the party line.

No one in the White House or Congress would like to have a straight forward honest man as FED chairman. Since Greenspan the FED is highly politicized and if not for AG political skills he would be history by now as an unimportant FED official. AG was lucky that the 1987 crash fell in his lap and since then gained undeserved respect
