Thanks, so a "secular religion" (phrase I'd never heard before) is where someone takes things on absolute *faith* (not allowing their beliefs to be gainsayed by hard evidence or quantifiable facts), but does not believe in a Higher Power.

Sounds like a mighty mule-ish customer. I'm not sure I'd want to have to spend an evening with one.

... But I'm still not sure what makes up the 'religion' part. Do they worship something?
