Emily now expected to become "major hurricane" ... too bad. When they say "major" that usually means CAT 3.

EMILY IS EXPECTED TO BE WITHIN AN ENVIRONMENT OF WEAK VERTICAL WIND SHEAR AND INCREASINGLY WARM SEA SURFACE TEMPERATURES.

THE OFFICIAL INTENSITY FORECAST IS VERY SIMILAR TO THE PREVIOUS ADVISORY...BRINGING EMILY TO HURRICANE INTENSITY IN 24 HOURS AND MAJOR HURRICANE STATUS BY 72 HOURS (friday)
