And that particular legislation [voted in by many Republicans] prohibited the use of US military.

It is only ok to remove bad people from power if Democrats are in power. Otherwise it is partisan abuse or power.

Removing Saddam from power is not the same as invading and occupying a country the size of California with almost no preparation, not enough troops, armor or allies, and failing to secure the borders or the ammo dumps. It also doesn't excuse Bush-Cheney's plethora of lies about huge WMD's stockpiles and a nuclear program.

Removing saddam from power means helping support a coup d'etat.
