He does great work for the ranch but his show spends at least 1/2 hr or more every day talking about the ranch. i think it drives listeners away. He used to talk about it and advertise some of his products but it has gotten very heavy coverage in the last year.

I think Howard Stern calls Imus's ranch a scam. He gets tens of millions in contributions and he, his son, wife, and relatives are the main beneficiaries. His son has the run of the ranch all summer long (every summer) and his daughter (from a previous marriage) and in laws are employees of the ranch. Imus claims that he and his wife do not get paid for work at the ranch. I wonder what kind of expenses the ranch pays for?

The sick kids get to stay at the ranch for 1 week. I wonder how much that comes out to per sick kid (cost of construction and maintaining the ranch divided by the number of sick kids that spend time there).
