"What are you the White House parrot?" In what sense? "Rove is already guilty. At the very least he's guilty of lying, covering up ... Most of us consider lieing or covering up to be far more serious than other shenanigans or illegal conduct politicians are engaged in. We weren't mad at Nixon for Watergate because we figured he was only guilty by association. The cover up, however, was inexcusable. Government representatives are elected on an issue of trust. We lend them our trust while in office to represent us openly and honestly. Any breach of that trust is a violation of the social contract that entitles them to hold office. The other stuff like taking bribes or embezzlement are bad crimes but pale in comparison to lying to the public or covering things up. What has he lied about? What has he covered up? Do you have substantive proof or is this just partisan gaming? I have no particular fondness for the man but will not go along with character assassination for partisan point taking.
