I believed all along that the increased investment income from 2004 combined with the bigger AMT bite contributed significantly to increased tax collections. Obviously the repatriation of profits also helped on the business side.

Bush will take any minor victory he can get in his Failure Presidency. They are going to tout this "reduction" of the huge deficit that was a surplus under Clinton as proof that his moronic economic prescriptions worked. <G>
