Grape is not an animal and the stomping is for consumption.

Coug and I have no problem if you catch a fish and kill it for food. But just for fun? Oh clappy, you are better than that. I am sure you can find a better activity to have fun!

The bit about the grape was a joke but it makes me think...

Is the spark of life within a plant different than that of
a fish?

Is that same kernel of energy just existing in something
higher up the food chain?

Should I avoid walking in the grass even though it feels
good on my bare feet in fear of killing it?

Should I not pick a daisy and smell it?

I would rather not kill every trout I catch and eat it.
I think should I let it go instead. Let it live. Enjoy
my encounter with it and move up the stream.

Let it return home wiser and harder to catch.

I am sure you can find a better activity to have fun!

I haven't found many that are better.

It is more intoxicating than a glass of wine.
And no one was killed in the process.

Besides there is this old saying...

The time spent fishing does not get subtracted from the
span of your life.

I bet if you tried it you would love it.
