I think what the republicans aren't seeing, and where Fitzgerald is going to hammer them, is that a career NOC isn't free to reveal her identity when she comes in from the cold. It doesn't matter if Plame was 86 years old and retired in Nantucket, her identity should not have been revealed.

Though Plame was no longer going overseas undercover, disclosing her identity destroyed all the years of work she had put in while she was NOC, and jeopardized all the people she had been in contact with, as well as destroying Brewster-Jennings and outing all of its NOCs.

Another thing: marrying a well-off diplomat is in ITSELF a cover.

Hear me know and believe me later, this will be a nightmare for Bush.
