The gap between the top-rated "NBC Nightly News" and the ABC broadcast has remained essentially the same — an average of 224,000 viewers in June compared with 220,000 in March, according to Nielsen Media Research. NBC has led by 673,000 viewers this season compared with 704,000 at this point last season.
