Actually, JF, I thought about it somewhat, and I think Rove's resignation might actually have an impact. It would be a huge moral victory for the Dems, while Republicans who also subscribe to the "Rove mastermind" image will be disheartened.

My only point is that Rove isn't the brilliant mastermind many credit him to be. However, his reputation is still there, whether his so-called "genius" was responsible for building it up or not, and that's still a juicy political target for the Dems.

He actually believes there is a lot of depth in the GOP. If "mastermind" Rove is forced to leave, two more will take his place. Is this the same GOP where elected official after elected official is being dropped kick for committing a crime? He may be right......criminal masterminds may be their forté. ;~)
