bingo,
the same liberals whining about the losses in Iraq refuse to give credit to Nixon for stopping the democrats adding to their slaughter of 58000 Americans in Vietnam...

"Hypocrisy"

You didn't answer my question---

We could STILL be fighting that war... with what, a million dead by now? For what?

The point of war is not just to keep fighting it is to accomplish something.

re: Like it or not, only by violating all of the terms of the peace settlement from 2 years before. Because nobody was forcing the terms of same settlement. You are one of way too many Americans ignoring these facts while preferring to settle for the fairy tales of that time as dictated by the liberal lobbies.

You are rewriting history. Nobody, including the Nixon administration, expected the North to do anything but take over the South. Nobody expected the South to "win". The US lost a war it could never win.
