It may well be that they sold most everything they could make, just at huge discounts because they couldn't place it with tier 1 oems. That would limit the potential claims a lot.

It would also explain canceled orders because why would an OEM go with a design that AMD couldn't supply in volume? No need to conjure up illegal tactics to explain away this one.

Those yield records will certainly be subpoenaed.

Remember the Droid equation:

Benchmarks + Fair Competition = Greater MSS.

No other factors are allowed into the equation. Limitless supply is assumed.

Not to forget inability to increase output capacity because of strangled profits, which would carry additional interest on that missed revenue over time.
