Bill and Goldie corrected some of my misperceptions about broadcast ranking... which (also) have been steadily falling for years, losing ground to cable and satellite which now make up about 1/2 the total viewers I believe.

In the cable/sat arena, Fox news typically has over twice the viewers of it's next largest rival (CNN), and often takes over 50% of the total viewing market share.

(I couldn't find any reliable links showing the *combined* cable/sat./broadcast American viewership rankings... but I know they are out there, someone here may be able to point to them.)
