Nobody here even mentions the huge sums Intel spent and is still spending on their massively losing networking venture?
Started in a small way with the acquisition of DEC but next went galactic when Giga and Level One were acquired at - well - galactic prices.

I am sure Ten has an idea of where the huge profits produced by his division have gone to fill up that massive black hole. It really is a tragedy.

TP, Maybe you don't understand the concept.

I understand the concept perfectly. The problem is that you've already assumed that Intel must be selling flash "below cost."

In an industry with high fixed costs and low variable costs, what do you consider to be "selling below cost"?
