You don't understand politics. The Dems don't really want a bigger army. They want to make Bush admit he over-extended in Iraq and therefore blew it as commander in chief. Same with the draft talk. God forbid rich Bushies would have to send their sons to Iraq. Plenty of unemployed blacks for that.

It's certainly turning the argument that Progressives are soft on defense...on its head. It's like a national shift in perception:

Fiscally irresponsible Republicans
Militarily inept Republicans
Big Government Republicans
