I think the key to the conversation would be what is his country?

"The US has used WMDs more than all other countries combined"

Only idiots compare using weapons in defense of your county to someone who gasses his own people.

The Kurds were not Saddam's own people. Saddam is Sunni. The borders were arbritarily set by British invaders, not inhabitants.

The war with Japan was over and dropping atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki had nothing to do with defending our country, it was a show of force to the world, especially Stalin that Truman had a weapon no one else had and they'd better watch out.

Bush let Osama go and focused on Saddam. Saddam was an evil man, but when he was gassing the Kurds the Reagan Administration, with Rumsfield as their pointmen, was fully supportive and never uttered a peep of protest.

The war on terror should have been 100% about terrorists, not about occupying Iraq at all. Yes, Saddam needed to be kept on a very short leash and eventually removed, but he was not an imminent threat in 2002 and had nothing to do with Al Qaida or 9-11. Iran and North Korea were bigger threats, and they both now have nukes on Bush's watch.

What do you think about Bush telling us in 2002 that he no longer cares about Osama Bin Lauden? And you say Bush's opponents don't care about terrorism? What about Bush himself? How can he not care about Osama? Osama is the one who attacked us, not Saddam.

What makes you think Bush really wants to stop terrorism? Hasn't he benefitted it from it as much as anyone, and haven't the companies like Helliburton and Chevron whom he's most closely affiliated with? We are the losers. But Bushies have won. They have more money and power than in their wildest dreams. Partly thanks to Osama Bin Lauden and occupying Iraq.
