I loved Montana and western history because we were not all that far from remnants of it. You could actually see the Lewis and Clark trail and where they camped, relatively unchanged from when they camped there 200 years ago.

As David McCollough said, there is no reason that history should be boring. The problem is, it's often poorly taught. I fear that the new generation will not even have the interest that we have in their heritage.
