Those who have a lesser goal (the survival of SOME humans) will need to promote substantially the same.

But "most humans" is a concept diametrically opposed to "room and resources"--i.e. survival. They are incompatible.

If we don't colonize space soon the resources will be inadequate--even if we FORCIBLY take from those who have, etc.

But it is far more likely that the have-nots will eventually subjugate those who have. They will have numbers and motivation on their side...it has ever been so...
