I don't see how quotes from the bible about butchering and raping children are "out of context" when we are discussing that very thing? You can't possibly pretend to believe that butchering the little boys and the non virginal girls and the parents and then keeping the virginal women children "alive for yourselves" is not about rape. The fact that many of these men are married and thus committing adultery is secondary to the fact that they are CLEARLY butchering everyone except for the virgin female children BECAUSE they are keeping them for sexual use. For you to pretend otherwise when this is a common theme throughout the bible (as with Lot and others) is to embrace the ridiculous and the absurd. They butcher all the young girls and all the young boys and then start "caring" about the virginal girls and how they can "help" them?? Give us all a break!! "Genocide is not mentioned as such" Genocide is one of the most prevalent themes of the bible. This is to be expected from a tribal God. religioustolerance.org
