Dale has been talking about this kind of thing for a long time on SI. Many people are worried about the irresponsibility of our debt to China.

We have a lot of debt. China holds a fair amount of that debt. To go from those facts to "China just about owns us" is not a logical progression but an unsupported leap. The statement "China owns us", (or as you quote it "well China is just about owning us" [SIC]) isn't a reasonable or accurate statement.
