Why are the rightwingers lying desperately today, smearing Wilson and his wife to try and change the subject and turn this into a partisan mud-slinging? Because it's not just Rove. Rove could retire to a gay bar tomorrow and be replaced, but this is really about -- BUSH LYING ABOUT SADDAM'S NON-EXISTENT NUCLEAR PROGRAM TO TAKE US TO WAR ON FALSE PRETENSES. That is impeachable and they know it. Cheney would go even sooner. Cheney's proven lies are much more plentiful. Americans will forgive a president for lying once in awhile if he;'s sucessful with what he's lying about, but the Bush war is a failure now, so the US public is not going to come to his aide on this. The people are fed up and would be fine with Bush-Cheney being replaced by most honest moderate leaders. See Nixon-Agnew-Ford.
