Jewel,
I've actually been to many countries in the ME and lived in a few of them. Other than some whacked up holes in Africa, Saudi remains the place I dislike the most.

I have heard people try to weld Iraq to 9/11 and it always involves strained logic and calculations that I find hard to swallow.

Anyway you look at it, the fact remains that Saudi Arabia is the biggest sponsor of extremism. Now they may be able to hide their financial support of terrorists and frankly I don't even care if they are not directly giving money to terrorists. The fact remains that actions are but actualization of beliefs. There is no question that Saudis have been marketing their extremist ideology to Pakistan. So it should be no surprise that out of the millions, some Pakistanis eventually act on these beliefs. Ditto for the anywhere else the Saudis spread their message.

Why is Bush so soft on them?
