What I meant was the US has access to capital like no other nation on earth. It is hard to outspend or outbid them, because their system of money creation is what in my opinion has been the mainly responsible for their standard of living.

High living through debt, debt which will never be paid off, but should that ever come into question, payment can be made at grossly debased currency.

The way I have thought this through is that money is created by debt. But when the debt is payed off, it is a zero sum game. However, as the debt climbs and there is no likelihood of paying it off, such as the US national debt which has been ever rising , that represents money, created out of thin air.

Creative loose financing at below inflation rates is another good trick available to US citizens and corporations. Besides, the sheriff says its all legal and good, and he has the biggest gun in the room, and no one is going to argue with him. And don't worry, he is keeping his eye on those sly pesky inscrutable Asians because they are starting to catch on to the rules of the game! If they get too uppity, he might have to blast 'em.
