The trouble is that the Kerry plan was worse than the Bush plan. Sadly, the Buchanan plan was the best, 4 years ago. I got really frustrated over this issue living in CA. Day in and day out, you saw the impact of illegal immigration on the LA...........just like in FLA. I don't ever think they will do right by the issue. There is a powerful lobby who wants to maintain the status quo. Think about it.........private citizens started doing what the gov't is supposed to be doing.....its like your boss coming in behind you and doing the work you claimed you had just finished. Talk about embarrassing. The reaction......a lot of handwringing and false moves to do something. How much you want to bet nothing will come of them?
