Saving lives has never been my issue, as you know. It is a futile goal, as all seven billion+ will die.

The only issue is whether or not we support the life that is worth living. In order to do that, we must identify the mission and destiny of humanity. Since the dawn of recorded history we have watched over and over as human beings have engaged in a life and death struggle, not merely to survive but to live a decent life.

Throughout this struggle we are able to mark progress toward the liberation of individuals from the tyranny of kings, dogma, and oppressive social establishment.

The autonomy of the individual, living in peaceful coexistence with all others, is the only noble vision our collective body can possibly attach itself to. The moment you dehumanize even one human being to advance your material interests, you have compromised your knighthood and lost all.

"... in time. Does that change the equation?"

That makes a nice action movie, unfortunately the writers (and righters) of time are not at your beck and call to guarantee happy endings. In the richness and fullness of time, the passionate decision of the moment may haunt you for eternity.
