When I read that post yesterday afternoon (my time), I didn't like it much and thought about doing something then. Then my ISP crashed for most of the evening and I decided to sleep on it instead. I haven't seen that kind of post on this thread from that poster before. Sometimes people post one-off items that go too far.

Once our discussion started about it now, I figured that would be the "gentle warning" to the poster and everyone else that the item went too far.

Like I said, if I start banning everyone that posts items I consider false, misleading or inaccurate, the number of participants will drop considerably.

As a general rule, I find most blog entries on anything are self-serving diatribes with little or no analytical substance or rigor. I would strongly suggest to everyone that we leave them off the board unless it's an exceptionally good piece.

So we agree pretty much - allowing posts like that one doesn't further my goal. Hopefully we won't see any more. If we do, I will act more quickly and firmly.

Thanks for the input.
