Perjury and obstruction about sexual matters are understandable, and much less destructive to the republic than perjury and obstruction (or other crimes) about matters which actually relate to government- in the opinion of many people. If you don't agree, you don't agree- but lots of people take that view.

That's what we're getting at. And even before Clinton committed his "crimes" people wanted him impeached- which is really what I was talking about. Same level of hate and irrationality then as now, just coming from a different "team".

Clinton did his thing in private. If everyone had stayed out of it and not blown it up out of proportions, and then if had not lied but been up front with the American people on his TV presentation the whole Lewinsky thing might have blown over.

To compare what Rove is PRESUMED to have done, with this sexual scandal is something very different. Exposing a CIA operative whether active at the time, or not is supposed to be... from what Bush said, a felony.
