I see no reason for Bush to abandon his friend and confident at this point.

However, this whole issue is nothing but a mud wrestling side show at the palace theater. We are in the midst of a very dynamic and global defining era. Lets re-focus. It is not necessary to have Rove's presence to conduct White house affairs and it is not constructive for the White house to have Rove's comment as the center of its affairs ... just on a practical note, it seems this business could be conducted with less fanfare if Rove took a leave of absence.

Do you really think it is about Rove? If so, get the White house out of it. I have a hard time thinking of this as a priority considering everything else that is going on.
