The COTs are modestly constructive, but I doubt we get more than a small bounce before gold and especially gold stocks hit the skids again.

I am looking for the commercial shorts to get very close to zero before the gold bull resumes in a major way. And that probably means a visit below $400.

Commercials are long 72,802 Yen, that has to be a record.

This is puzzling given the fact that there are huge bets on an RMB repeg.

Is this a short hedge on behalf of those trading the RMB currency flat out?

If so, I think the commercials are wrong and more or less they all lose when nothing happens.
